Privacy policy

The Interact programme is committed to the protection of personal data, in accordance with the General Data Protection Rules. Your personal data will thus be processed in conformity with the above-mentioned Regulation.

In order to gain access to the Interreg Data Exchange (INDEX), Interact requires certain personal information. We treat this information according to the privacy policy statement. 

Personal data we collect

When you register to become a user of INDEX, we save your private data in our systems. The following information is stored in our website database: name, address, telephone, e-mail, company, job title, and website. 

How we use and store personal data 

All information we collect is safely stored in order to provide to the user:

  • Access to the Interreg Data Exchange community functionalities (INDEX); upon new developments, our users receive relevant updates.

The Interact Programme does not copy or modify your personal information in any way and uses it solely for the purposes of the Interreg Data Exchange. The Interact Programme never discloses personal information to third parties. We do not ever divulge your personal data for any marketing purposes. 

All the data collected through the online user profile form will be stored safely in the database system. We take high security measures to safeguard the information against possible misuse or unauthorised access. The data is kept in a highly secure server with daily backups. 

How to access and modify personal data 

You can access all the information disclosed with us at any time, verify its accuracy and, if necessary, correct it. In order to do this, please log in into your profile and adjust everything that is necessary. If you wish to delete your profile, please contact us at privacy@interact-eu.net.

Logging actions

During each access by a user of one of the pages of INDEX and each retrieval of a file, data shall be automatically stored in a log file. This log file may contain data with the following content:   

  • IP address of the requesting computer,
  • Name of the requested file,
  • Date and time of day of the inquiry,
  • Access methods/functions requested by the requesting computer,
  • Access status of the web server (file transferred, file not found, command not executed, etc.) as well as the URL from which the file was requested/the requested function was affected, Operating system and browser model and/or browser settings.

An analysis of these technical data shall be undertaken solely for statistical purposes (users numbers and page popularity) in order to improve the tool. These data also enable us to make no inferences regarding the natural person behind them.
